Grimace

by Matt Freire

Bleed away
But my food still tastes good
I shouldn’t feel bad
But my wounds say I should

Numb sometimes
It’s all in a days work
Needles and pins
It’s part of life’s perks

Stand crawl
Sometimes I need to move
Eat sleep
Band-Aids cover the wounds

Walk strait with a slant
Walk forward to get back
Stand up and take a rest
Sit down stretch your self-out

Jump to sleep
Sniff pepper to clear yourself up
Chop an onion to let your tears flow
Don’t always say yes deny with a no

A camera in your eye
The average American is video taped 6 times a day
That’s not okay

At least not for me because I like my peace
I like my serenity
I like not to be watched or viewed constantly
So now they got me on videotape
My freedom raped
They’re coming to obliterate and validate
The rate at which I stagnate the flow rate
So I won’t become the first mate
No Polly wants a cracker
I’m not a parrot I won’t regurgitate
You don’t make my eyes dilate
I’m done with this constant blind date
With an unseen video tape
Invading my free state
I’ve become ground bate
And I just been cut by your Uncle Sam scandalous Spam ice skate
To slash the weight
Of my already light weight soup plate
Closing off my growth rate
And now all there time is placed in debate as i deflate
After they duct tape my face controlling the birth rate
And the due date of my free state
So I lie in wait
My time has no interest rate
No fine china
Just an empty plastic sandwich plate

But that’s the way it has to be
I am the main fallacy
I’m a paranoid schizophrenic catastrophe
Someone’s after me

Some cosmic force has me sighted in its scopes
To disembowel me
To befoul me and scowl me
But you can’t see me
Because I’ve already planted the seed that has sprouted roots
And its about to cover me
So back off
And look into the dark
Because there’s a lot more colors in black
So pick them apart and see where you’re at
This situation is whack and it lacks the people’s impact
So make sure you’re still intact
For when the time comes for you to act as a pact
To react on the passed up stacked up facts
Watch out for the visual tacks and sacks of over run tracks of flack
And unconstitutional acts before your families whacked

I’ll be in shrouded contact
So pass these words back
